During medical leave, I originally planned to do a lot of projects while home in America.

On February 26th, about 2 months into my time out, I got the news that my friend, Ainsley, had passed away the night before. It was so sudden and unexpected, it hurt really bad... it still hurts really bad, I am still in disbelief. We had been friends for about 4 years, through the hardest years of my life, and the joy she brought me and my friends was so impactful. Since around March, I have been working on a project collaboratively with one of my best friends who knew her to honor her and process what happened. The closer I get to finishing, the more it feels real. I have been working on this for way longer than I expected, very very slowly... it just feels weird to put it into completion. This is really the only project I did over my time out in America, and I'm still slowly working on it.

I miss you so much Ainsley and I would do anything to hear your laugh again :(
